The gist
Green Jobs Board is a climate-focused career platform. Every role sits inside one of 21 climate pathways: Energy, Conservation, Policy, Transportation, and 17 more. Job seekers browse for free. Employers post through Canopy, our side of the platform for hiring teams. No generic jobs feed, no greenwashing, just climate work you can trust.
Two sides, one mission
If you're looking for work, you can browse jobs without an account. Sign up to save roles, apply, and follow every application from "Saved" all the way to "Hired."
If you're hiring, you post through Canopy and reach a focused, climate-minded audience. You manage applications, decide what your apply form asks, and move candidates through your own steps.
Either way, it's one sign-up. Your account knows which side you're on.

Built around pathways
Climate work isn't one industry. It's a whole economy in transition. We organize it into 21 pathways, each with its own color and icon across the site.
Every job carries its pathway tag, right on the card and on the full listing. Want urban planning at a sustainability-first developer? Filter by Urban Planning. Want to write code for grid operators? Filter by Energy or Technology. You browse by what you actually want to do.
For a closer look at any pathway (what the work involves, the skills that matter, and who's hiring), open Treehouse in your sidebar. It's home to pathway guides, job notes, ready-to-use application templates, and the Mentors directory. There's more in What's in Treehouse?.
If "green job" still feels fuzzy, What counts as a green job? walks through how we define climate work and lists every pathway with an example role.
Your first 5 minutes
If you're looking for work. Create your account and you'll land on your Home. Open Explore Jobs from the sidebar and filter by the pathway you care about. Save a few roles to see how progress tracking works in Your Jobs, then apply when you find one that fits. When you want a little context (pathway guides, mentors, application templates), open Treehouse, also in your sidebar.
If you're hiring. Create your account, then set up your company profile with your logo, sector, location, BIPOC-owned status, and sustainability commitments. Open Roles from the sidebar, click Submit a role, and post your first one.
Accounts and access
- One sign-up, one side. You choose job seeker or employer when you sign up. Your data and applications live in your account, not on any single job page.
- Sign in with your email and password on the log in page, or use Login with Google.
- If you signed up with Google, you won't have a password here. You sign in through Google instead. To change that password, do it in your Google account settings. More in Resetting your password.
- Your email is easy to change. Update it yourself from your Account & security settings (employers do this under Security settings).
Managing your account
Each side has its own Settings page. Open it from the gear icon in your sidebar.
If you're a job seeker, your settings include: - Account & security settings for your sign-in identity, password, and two-factor. - Notification settings for your email and in-app preferences. - Mentor settings to turn on mentor mode and set up your mentor profile, if you'd like to guide others in the climate community. - Sharing & visibility settings to choose who can discover you, turn your public link on or off, and pick which social links employers can see. - Privacy & data settings to export your data or delete your account.
If you're an employer, your settings are grouped into personal and company: - Personal: your profile, notifications, and security (where you change your password and turn on two-factor). - Company: company profile, branding, your hiring process, candidate tags, team (invite and manage teammates), plan and billing, and data and privacy (data export, deleting the company, and the support contact).
Need help?
- This help center answers product questions, the how-do-I-do-X kind.
- Your privacy and data settings are where you export your data or delete your account.
- Support handles everything else: billing questions, recovering a lost account, or changing your account type. You can open a request from the Help area or email us, and follow the whole thread in the app. See Getting help and contacting support. Password and email are now self-serve in both, so for those start with Resetting your password.
Good to know
- Browsing is free. You don't need an account to search, filter, or read a job. You'll want one to save, apply, or post.
- We're climate-only. Roles outside the 21 pathways don't get listed. See What counts as a green job? for how we decide.
- Some roles send you to the employer's own site to apply. When an employer adds a link to apply on their own site, the Apply Now button opens that site in a new tab. The role still lives here so people can find it.
- It works on your phone. You can browse, filter, apply, post a role, and review candidates from a phone or tablet, not just a laptop.
- Treehouse is your climate-career hub. Pathway guides, job notes, ready-to-use templates, and a mentors directory, all in your sidebar.
