Creating an account and exploring Canopy is free. On the Basic plan you pay $125 per role with no subscription. Starter is $149 per month ($99 per month for your first 2 months, or $124 per month billed annually) with 3 live roles, the custom application form builder, analytics, and branding. Growth is $299 per month ($249 per month billed annually) with unlimited roles, 3 included boosted roles, and Discover. See the pricing section above for what each plan includes.

What's the advantage of a boosted listing?

Boosted listings get featured placement in search results, a feature in our newsletter, and social media promotion to our 200K+ climate-aligned audience. The result is higher visibility and stronger applicant quality than a standard listing.

What types of roles can be posted on Canopy?

Accepted Answer

Anything in the climate and sustainability space, across pathways from Energy and Conservation to Urban Planning, Water, and Policy. Full-time, part-time, contract, internship, fellowship, and volunteer roles are all welcome.

Can multiple people from our team manage hiring?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Invite teammates from Settings, then Team. Each company supports owner, admin, and member roles, plus an interviewer role scoped to the roles they review. Interviewers get their own review workspace with shared scorecards, and everyone works from their own account.

Do candidates need an account to apply?

Accepted Answer

No account needed. Anyone can apply through your application form. Candidates with a Green Jobs Board profile also bring structured work history, skills, and pathway interests along with their answers.

Can we limit applicants to climate-aligned candidates?

Accepted Answer

Every candidate on Green Jobs Board is here to find work in sustainability, so that's already filtered. Beyond that, you can scope each role to specific pathways (Conservation, Energy, Agriculture, and more), so it shows up for the candidates browsing that pathway.

Can I find candidates instead of waiting for them to apply?

Yes. Discover lets you browse job seekers who opted in to be found, filter by availability, location, and skills, and see who lines up with a role by the skills they actually list. When someone fits, save them to a private shortlist and invite them to apply. There's no algorithm ranking people for you and no scraped inboxes, and we never expose a candidate's email or phone, so it's an invitation they accept on their terms, never a cold message.

How will I know when someone applies?

Canopy has a built-in notification center. You get an alert the moment someone applies, when a role is about to close, and when a teammate asks you to publish a draft, all in one place inside Canopy, with email updates when you want them. It's calm by design: no push spam and no firehose, just the events that matter for your hiring.

How does the application form builder work?

Each job can have its own custom application form. Add text questions, multi-select options, yes/no questions, and file upload fields, and mark each one required or optional. The custom form builder is included with the Starter and Growth plans.

Can I close or remove a listing early?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can close any listing at any time from your Canopy dashboard. You can also set an automatic closing date when you create the posting so it expires on its own.

Right now applications live in Canopy, and you can export candidates as a spreadsheet for handoff to other tools. Tell us what your team uses during onboarding so we know where to focus next.
