The short version
Open Team settings under Settings. Click Invite, enter a teammate's email, pick their role, and send. They get an email, set a password (or just sign in if they already have an account), and they're in. Admins manage the team; members do the day-to-day hiring; interviewers only see the candidates you assign them.
The roles
Everyone you invite gets one of these, from most access to least:
| Role | Can do | Can't do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and team. Set once when the company is created. | Be removed or reassigned in the app (see below). |
| Admin | Everything an owner can: post and manage roles, review candidates, edit company profile and branding, manage billing, and invite or remove teammates. | Nothing that's blocked for everyone. |
| Member | The day-to-day: post and manage roles, review and manage candidates, and see who's on the team. | Edit company settings, branding, billing, or the team. |
| Interviewer | Review and score only the candidates for the roles they're assigned to. | See anything else. No company-wide candidate access, no settings. |
Each option shows its own one-line reminder in the invite window: member is "Post roles and review candidates," admin "Also manages settings, billing, and team," and interviewer "Reviews and scores only the candidates you assign."
Members and interviewers can still see the team roster, so everyone knows who their admins are. Only admins and the owner can change it.
Inviting a teammate
You need to be an admin or the owner to invite.
- Open Team settings and click Invite. The Invite a teammate window opens.
- Enter their email address.
- Pick a role (member, admin, or interviewer). Member is the default.
- Click Send invite. You'll see "Invitation sent," and they appear in your roster with an Invited badge.
What happens on their end:
- They get an email inviting them to your company workspace.
- New to Green Jobs Board? The link takes them to a short page to set a password, and they're straight in as an active teammate.
- Already have an account (even a job-seeker one)? They just sign in with their email, and joining your team happens automatically on their first visit.
While an invite is pending, you can Resend it or copy the invite link to send yourself.
Changing a role or removing someone
From the roster, admins can:
- Change a role. Use the role control on their row. Promoting someone takes effect right away. Moving someone down (say, admin to member) asks you to confirm first, since they'll lose access to settings, billing, and team management.
- Remove someone. Use the remove action on their row and confirm. They lose access immediately. Their past activity (notes, stage changes) stays on your records.
A couple of guardrails: you can't remove yourself, and the owner can't be removed or reassigned from here.
Assigning an interviewer to a role
Inviting someone as an interviewer is step one. To actually give them candidates to score, open the role and add them on its interview team. They'll then see just that role's candidates in their Interviews tab. The full flow is in Reviewing candidates as a team.
What members see on admin-only pages
Members and interviewers can open most settings pages, but the parts only admins can change are locked:
- Company profile, branding, and hiring process show the current setup with the fields disabled and a note at the top: "Only admins can edit. Ask a company admin if you need changes made."
- Plan & billing is admin-only. A member who opens it sees an "Admins only" message instead of the billing tools.
This is on purpose: a member can see the context, but only an admin can spend money or change your public identity.
Good to know
- Owner is set at creation and stays put. Transferring ownership to another teammate isn't something you can do in the app yet. If you need it, email support at support@greenjobsboard.us.
- Some things are personal, some are shared. Your notification preferences and your saved candidate views are yours alone. Candidate tags are shared across the whole team.
- Roles take effect immediately. Change someone to a member and their admin tools disappear on their next action, even mid-session.
- Invites are tied to the email. Send the invite to the address they'll sign in with. If they use "Sign in with Google," that's the Google email.
- Billing is one setup for the whole company. There are no per-person paid features, so adding teammates doesn't change your bill.
Trouble?
- "That email is already on the team." They've already been invited or added. Check your roster; they may just need to accept or sign in.
- A teammate can't find the invite. Ask them to check spam, then use Resend or copy the invite link and send it directly. See Email not arriving.
- A teammate says a page is read-only. They're a member, and that page is admin-only. Change their role to admin if they need to edit it.
