For employers

Insights

See how your roles are doing: how many people applied, how far they got, how fast you move, and where applicants come from. Pick a date range, switch between focused dashboards, and download a snapshot.

The short version

Open Insights in your sidebar. It's a dashboard of your hiring: a funnel from applications to accepted, conversion rates, how fast you move, which roles are pulling their weight, and where your applicants come from. Set the date range at the top, switch between three ready-made views (Pipeline, Sourcing, Speed), and export when you want a snapshot for a report.

The three views

A set of tabs across the top switches the dashboard between three focuses. Each one shows the widgets that matter for that question:

  • Pipeline. Your funnel and conversion. Start here for "how is hiring going?"
  • Sourcing. Where applicants come from: channels, campaigns, and the mix of sources.
  • Speed. How quickly you move people along, and where things slow down.

You can also show, hide, and reorder individual widgets, so your dashboard settles into the shape you actually use.

The date range

The control at the top sets the window for the whole page:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Last 90 days
  • This year
  • All time
  • Custom range. Open the date picker and choose a start and end.

Turn on the compare option to see each number against the period before, so you know whether things are trending up or down. Your range and filters live in the page address, so you can bookmark a view or send a teammate the exact same one.

What the widgets show

Depending on the view, you'll see:

  • Headline stats. Total applications in the window, with the change versus the period before.
  • Hiring overview. Your funnel: applications, then reviewed, then accepted. Use it to spot where people fall away.
  • Conversion gauges. Your review rate and accept rate at a glance.
  • Applications over time. A chart of applications by day, week, or month, with a status breakdown.
  • Application activity. A calendar heatmap of when applications land.
  • Hiring speed. How long people sit before they're reviewed or decided, against a benchmark, so you can catch roles that are stalling.
  • Roles. One row per role, with views, applications, apply rate, and the last time someone applied. Sort it, and export it.
  • Role trends. Small side-by-side charts to compare roles at a glance.
  • Decline reasons. The reasons you've given for declining, so patterns show up. Click one to jump to those candidates.
  • Source composition and Sources. Where applicants come from, with Channels and Campaigns breakdowns.
  • Diversity snapshot. A high-level view of your applicant pool.

How the funnel reads

Your funnel follows the same stages you use on the Candidates page:

  • Applications. Everyone who applied in the window.
  • Reviewed. Applicants you've marked reviewed (or that a teammate scored).
  • Accepted. Applicants you moved forward.

The funnel covers the whole window, not a single moment. A big drop from applications to reviewed can mean applications are piling up faster than you're getting to them. A small share reaching accepted can point to fit or to your screening. Reviewing applications and managing your pipeline is where you act on what you find here.

Exporting

Use the export on the Roles widget to download that table as a spreadsheet, filtered to your current view. Handy for weekly hiring reports, board updates, and looking back over time.

A weekly hiring check-in, step by step

  1. Open Insights.
  2. Set the range to last 7 days and turn on compare.
  3. Read the headline number. Applications this week versus last.
  4. Scan the funnel on the Pipeline view. Where are people getting stuck?
  5. Check hiring speed. Anything sitting too long? That's usually a follow-up you owe someone.
  6. Open the Roles widget. Which role is doing better or worse? Sort by applications or apply rate.
  7. Export if you want a snapshot for your review.

A few things worth knowing

  • Insights reflects what's in Candidates. If an applicant's status hasn't been updated, they won't land in the right part of the funnel. Move people along as work happens, and the numbers stay honest.
  • The range drives the whole page. Every widget uses it. Change it once at the top and everything updates.
  • Bookmark and share views. Your view lives in the page address, so save the ones you use and send links to teammates.
  • Sourcing needs source data. Applications from before we tracked sources show as "Unknown," so older windows lean heavier on that bucket.
  • The page isn't live to the second. Data refreshes every few minutes, so a recent change may take a moment to show.

Trouble?

  • "Couldn't load insights." Refresh. If it keeps happening, you may not have permission to view Insights, so check with your admin.
  • The numbers look wrong. Check the date range first, since most "missing" applicants are simply outside it. Then check your active filters.
  • A role isn't showing. It needs activity within your date range. Drafts and quiet roles outside the window don't appear.
