The short version
Open Treehouse and start Find your Treehouse. Answer 16 quick questions and you'll get your best-fit climate pathway (with a few close runners-up), plus a link to that pathway's guide and open roles. Your top match saves to your profile as a pathway interest, which helps us show you more of the right jobs and reads. Not sure where you fit in climate? This is the fastest way to a starting point.
Where to find it
It lives on the Treehouse hub. If you haven't taken it, you'll see a Find your Treehouse card (and, the first time, a friendly prompt) with Start the quiz. Once you've taken it, that spot shows your result with View result, Retake quiz, and Share result.
Taking the quiz
- Start. The intro explains it: "Answer 16 quick questions to discover the climate pathway that fits you." It's 16 questions, about 5 minutes. Click Start the quiz, or Maybe later to head back.
- Answer honestly. Each question is a single pick from a handful of options. There are three short sections, moving from how you engage with the world, to what you're drawn to, to your work style and values. A progress bar shows where you are.
- Move at your pace. Use Back to change an earlier answer, and Continue when you've picked. Your progress is saved as you go, so you can refresh or step away and pick up where you left off.
- See your result. The last question's button reads See my result.
Reading your result
Your result leads with your best-fit pathway as a "green career personality" (every pathway has one, like "The Ecosystem Guardian" for Conservation). You'll see:
- A short explanation of why it fits your answers.
- Skills you'd lean on and example roles in that pathway.
- Explore the guide for a deep dive, and Browse roles to see what's open.
Below that, You'd also thrive as shows your next-closest pathways with a match percentage, each linking to its guide. And if your top two are neck and neck, we'll say so, since plenty of people are a genuine blend of two.
From here you can Retake quiz or Share result.
The result is a friendly starting point, not a verdict. Climate work overlaps constantly, and a "runner-up" pathway is often just as good a fit. Treat it as a nudge toward a first guide to read, not a box you have to stay in.
What saving does
When you reach your result, your top pathway is added to your pathway interests on your profile. That's the same field that shapes what we feature for you (jobs and Treehouse reads) and helps employers find you if you're discoverable. You'll see a quick "Saved your Treehouse" confirmation. Retaking the quiz and landing on a new result adds that one too, so your interests grow as you explore.
Good to know
- You can take it as many times as you want. Curious how a different mood changes things? Retake it. Your latest result is the one shown on the hub.
- Your progress is saved mid-quiz. Refreshing or leaving won't lose your answers, as long as you're on the same device and browser.
- It shapes recommendations. Because your top pathway lands in your interests, the quiz quietly improves what you see across Green Jobs Board.
- It's optional. Skip it entirely and browse by pathway yourself. It's a shortcut, not a gate.
