Forestry jobs

Forestry covers how forests are managed, restored, and protected. It spans sustainable timber management, reforestation, wildfire mitigation and fuels reduction, urban forestry, and the forest carbon projects that fund a growing share of the work.

Employers include public land agencies, timber companies with certified operations, restoration nonprofits, tribal natural resource departments, and carbon project developers. Wildfire resilience has become one of the pathway's largest hiring areas in the western United States.
