Energy is the largest pathway in the climate economy. It covers solar and wind development, battery storage, geothermal, grid modernization, and the operations and maintenance work that keeps all of it running once it is built.

Developers, utilities, independent power producers, installers, and manufacturers hire across the whole range. It splits roughly into project development, engineering, and field operations, and the field side takes people without a four-year degree more readily than most of the climate economy.
