The short version
Open Your Jobs from your sidebar. Every role you've saved or applied to lives here, sorted into seven stages: Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offers, and Hired, plus Past Roles and Ineligible. Move roles along as your search moves along. You can also add jobs you applied to somewhere else with the + button, so everything stays in one place.
The seven stages
The bar at the top of the page shows the active stages from left to right:
- Saved (bookmarked from the job listings but not applied to yet, your shortlist of roles you're considering)
- Applied (sent through Green Jobs Board, added for you when you submit, or added by hand for an application you made elsewhere)
- Interviewing (at least one interview happening; you can track several rounds, see below)
- Offers (you have an offer in hand)
- Hired (you accepted and started; your hired role pins to the top of the page as a highlight)
- Past Roles (closed out without an offer, whether you were turned down, withdrew, the role closed, or you never heard back; keeps the history without cluttering your active stages)
- Ineligible (you were screened out for a fit reason like location, work authorization, or a missing credential; kept separate from Past Roles so you can see where the snag was)
You move roles between stages yourself. We don't hear from employers automatically, so when an interview gets scheduled or an offer comes in, update the stage to keep things accurate.
What you can do with each role
Every card lets you:
- Change the stage. Use the stage control on the row. The card moves right away, then saves in the background.
- Add a reaction. Six quick options (excited, happy, meh, nervous, shocked, or none), a fast way to note how you feel about a role without writing anything.
- Star it. Mark a role to come back to. Starring doesn't change the stage, and it has its own filter.
- Open the role. Click the title to revisit the description.
- Track interview rounds (for roles in the Interviewing stage). See the next section.
Interview rounds
When a role is in Interviewing, you can track several named rounds, which helps when a process has a screen, a technical round, a behavioral round, and a final.
- Add a round. Open the role and name each one (for example "Recruiter screen", "Take-home", "Panel interview", or "Onsite").
- Mark a round done. Each round has its own toggle.
- The count keeps itself. Once you reach round 3, the page shows "Interview round 3" without you removing the earlier ones.
If you tracked interviews the old way (as plain numbers), we fill in named rounds for you ("Round 1", "Round 2") the first time you open the role. The first named round you add saves the full list from then on.
Adding a job you applied to somewhere else
Click the + button to open the Add Job form. It's handy when you applied on an employer's own site, through a recruiter, or before you found us.
You can fill in:
- Job URL (the link to the role; optional, but nice for context)
- Title (the role title, like "Sustainability Lead")
- Company (who you applied to)
- Description (paste the job description, or leave it blank)
- Starting stage (usually Applied, though Saved works too if you're just tracking interest)
Once you save, the job shows up in the right stage, and you can move it along just like the ones you applied to here.
The highlight card for "Hired"
When you mark a role as Hired, it lifts out of the columns and into a highlight card pinned to the top of the page. The card celebrates the win and stays there until you mark a different role as hired or move this one back.
You can have one highlight (one hired role) at a time. If you mark a second one as hired, we'll ask whether to move the previous one to Past Roles.
Finding a role
- Search by title or company at the top of the page.
- Show only starred roles by toggling the star filter.
- Collapse stages you're not actively watching so the page stays focused.
Step by step: a typical flow
- Save a role. From the job listings, tap the bookmark on a job. It lands in Saved.
- Apply. From the role, click Apply Now. Once you submit, it moves to Applied on its own.
- Hear back. Got an interview invite? Open the role in Applied and move it to Interviewing.
- Add named rounds as you go.
- Get an offer. Move it to Offers.
- Accept, and move it to Hired.
- Or close it out, to Past Roles if it didn't work out, or Ineligible if you were screened out for a fit reason.
Good to know
- Stages are just for you. Moving a role to "Interviewing" doesn't tell the employer anything. It's your private tracker.
- Applying here adds the role for you. Submit through Green Jobs Board and it lands in Applied automatically, no extra step.
- Applying on an employer's site doesn't. We have no way to know, so add those roles by hand.
- Everything feels instant. Stage changes, reactions, and stars update right away. On the rare chance a save fails, you'll see a message and the previous state comes back.
- Saved jobs don't expire. They stay in Saved until you apply, remove them, or the role closes.
- Closed roles stay put. If a role's closing date passes while it's in Applied, it stays there. Move it to Past Roles yourself if it didn't move forward.
- Reactions and stars are private. Employers never see them. They're notes for you.
- Each role keeps to itself. Stage changes, reactions, and notes all live on their own role, so changing one never affects another.
