Lida Aljabar is Senior Director of the Catalyst Initiative & Fund at American Forests, where she leads a $55 million national philanthropic and capacity-building initiative advancing climate equity and green jobs through urban and community forestry. She brings more than 12 years of experience designing and leading cross-sector initiatives spanning local government, philanthropy, nonprofit, academia, and private-sector advisory. Her work focuses on strengthening community-based organizations, expanding pathways into green careers, and aligning capital, partnerships, and systems change to build lasting community resilience. Aljabar is an AICP-certified planner with expertise in climate resilience, community development, and the built environment.
