Mahdiyyah, known as The Fabric Alchemist, is a Brooklyn-based regenerative textile artist, sustainability educator, and textile waste consultant. She leads a regenerative education and sustainability services studio that uses textiles as a medium to explore circular design, waste reduction, and systems thinking. Mahdiyyah designs sustainability programs, workshops, and consulting services for schools, cultural institutions, and companies using textile reuse as a hands-on entry point into environmental awareness and creative problem-solving. She serves as Director of Partnerships, Membership Engagement, & Community at the Black Fiber & Textile Network, a global collective advancing regenerative fiber systems. Mahdiyyah is the founder of the Upcycle Web Directory and creator of the Build Your Own Paid Workshop Program. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Forbes, and WWD.
