Malia Darby

Malia Darby is the Manager of Work Solutions at JobsFirstNYC, where she works with workforce providers, community-based organizations, employers, and other partners to strengthen workforce development practice and improve economic opportunity for New Yorkers. She leads JobsFirst NYC’s Green Economy, Healthcare, and Tech Sector Networks, supporting providers to develop stronger sector-based strategies, build effective pathways to quality employment, and respond to changing labor market conditions. Malia also contributes to JobsFirstNYC’s policy and thought leadership work, with a focus on workforce system alignment, the future of work, and policies that improve outcomes for workers and jobseekers. She holds an MSW from Columbia University and a BA in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine.
