Diamond Spratling

Diamond Spratling, MPH is an award-winning Climate DisruptHER, children’s book author, and global keynote speaker redefining what it means, and looks like, to be a climate activist. She is the founder and executive director of Girl Plus Environment, a national nonprofit that has raised nearly $1 million to ensure Black and Brown women and femmes are leading climate and environmental solutions. She is also the author of Sage Sails the World, a children’s climate book series inspiring young readers to explore Earth’s wonders and become environmental stewards. A Detroit native and two-time TEDx speaker, Diamond has spoken for the United Nations, Microsoft, MIT, Columbia University, and more. She has served on the City of Atlanta Climate Resiliency Advisory Board and has been named a Tom’s of Maine Incubator Awardee, NRDC 1Hotels Fellow, and Aspen Institute Future Leader Climate Fellow. Her work has been featured in Forbes, CBS, NPR, ESSENCE, Inc. Magazine, and Black Enterprise.
