This position provides support to our Stewardship and Resilience Program, with a focus on the administrative and field-based responsibilities related to the many conservation easements (71 currently) the Land Trust holds. Covering over 4,000-acres of private land in east Jefferson County, these conservation easements help landowners and the Land Trust permanently protect and steward conservation values such as fish and wildlife habitat, and soil and forest health, for the benefit of current and future generations of people and wildlife. This position works directly with the private landowners of those conservation easement-protected lands, volunteers, and partner organizations to help ensure the conservation values on the conservation easement-protected lands are maintained and enhanced over time.
