Position Overview
Reporting to the Native Lands Partnership Senior Conservation Manager (Senior Conservation Manager) and working with programs across the organization, the Native Lands Partnership Conservation Specialist (Conservation Specialist) will support and execute organizational projects and initiatives with Tribal Nations, Indigenous-led organizations, and Indigenous communities. With the oversight from the Senior Conservation Manager, they will engage in a range of campaigns through partnerships, coalitions and coordination, outreach activities, communications, and other efforts.
This position plays a critical role in fostering an organizational culture where people feel respected, included, and accountable to shared goals and outcomes. TWS has made it a priority to ensure that our work reflects fairness, representation, and accessibility. The Conservation Specialist will carry those commitments into our conservation work in Tribal Nations and indigenous communities —expanding partnerships, strengthening community connections, and ensuring our work is responsive to a broad range of perspectives and needs. The position is can be done from a TWS office or remote work from the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, ID, IL, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and WY.
