About This Role

This is a temporary position to support Climate Power’s work through the election cycle. It is expected that this role will end on December 4, 2026.

Climate Power has an immediate opening for a Special Projects Manager, Digital to join our team. This role will sit across Climate Power’s digital program verticals in service of managing high-priority projects from concept to completion, working across multiple departments and alongside your digital colleagues to make that happen. This position will also provide budget support and high-level administrative support within the digital team, and will report to the Managing Director, Digital.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the logistics manager from digital for cross-functional project teams, facilitating collaboration and clear communication across departments and in service of Climate Power’s campaign objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports for leadership and stakeholders, as well as keeping Digital team members on task and accountable for their deliverables.
  • Support Climate Power’s electoral priorities by tracking and delivering digital support from end-to-end, including building relationships and interfacing with campaign digital teams.
  • Assist the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Directors in managing external vendors and consultants, including monitoring budget and invoicing.
  • Act as the connective tissue across digital’s varying specialties, including tracking projects, outcomes, and prioritizing compiling and sharing learnings for the future.
  • Ensure that the administrative needs of the team run smoothly, including but not limited to meeting agendas, time tracking, and scheduling with external partners.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed and capacity dictates.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant prior work experience in digital communications, social media strategy, digital organizing, creator strategy or paid media, including program and/or project management experience with at least one cycle of campaign or electoral experience.
  • 2 years of people and/or project management experience; demonstrated success in leading departments and diverse teams and managing complex projects without dropping the ball.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and building trust with colleagues at all levels in service of getting stuff done.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, often with competing timelines, solving complex problems in an innovative, effective, and timely manner, often across different teams with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communicator—both written and oral—with a knack for managing the communications and project management challenges of a remote environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience or intuitive understanding of audiences on social media and digital platforms, from TikTok to YouTube, and Substack to Reddit; familiarity with social media performance metrics and analytics across platforms, as well as best practices.
  • Experience managing consultants, budgets, and invoicing/payment needs, and/or experience managing competing scheduling priorities.
  • Willingness to stay up to date on best practices and trends relative to the work and projects in their purview.
  • A positive team player with a passion for progressive change.
