Tanasia N Swift

Associate Director of Engagement Projects, Billion Oyster Project

Tanasia Swift is an urban environmental leader, SCUBA diver, and proud Brooklyn native working at the intersection of climate justice, education, and marine restoration. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Engagement Projects at Billion Oyster Project, where she manages community partnerships, supports workforce development programs, and co-chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. With more than a decade of experience in environmental education, Tanasia has developed citywide programs, trained field educators, and contributed to oyster reef restoration. When she’s not building reef programs or mentoring the next generation of environmentalists, she’s exploring New York City’s local waters from above and below. Her work has also been featured in local press.
