About the Senior Consultant Role
The Senior Consultant leads complex client projects, conducts research, develops policy recommendations, writes and edits grants, manages budgets, prepares reports and meeting materials, and supports community engagement and capacity building efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and takes pride in high-quality work that produces measurable community impact. Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:

·       Independent, proactive, innovative, and energized by challenge

·       An excellent writer and editor

·       Detail-oriented in budgeting, strategy, and grant work

·       Adaptable to shifting client needs and timelines

·       Tech-savvy with tools like Asana, Dropbox, Harvest, and Zoom

·       Committed to kindness, trust, and team success

·       5+ years in government, business, nonprofit, or similar leadership roles

·       Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred

·       Strong writing, research, analytical, and project management skills

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality and oversee sensitive information

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Slack, Canva, or similar tools

·       Salary: $85,000–$100,000, depending on education and experience

·       Full-time, exempt; some evenings/weekends required

·       Generous vacation, sick leave, and holidays

·       Office located in downtown Davis; hybrid potential after training

·       Role requires travel within California
