Job Description

 
Global Conservation is seeking a Global Editor to lead writing and storytelling of GC's Mission to Protect Endangered National Parks and Indigenous Territories in developing countries.

Deliverables include GC News, Impact Reports and Website - Projects, Progress and Challenges.  Working with GC Field Directors and Partners, the Editor selects and crafts the best stories to engage our 30,000+ donors and prospects in the United States and abroad.

Global Editor Responsibilities
Works with Executive Director and Project and Regional Directors.   
Manages and implements GC News, Impact Reports, Progress Updates
Research, write and edit stories as necessary.Responsibility and accountability for meeting assigned project goals, deadlines and objectives.
May serve as team lead on assigned communication initiatives.
 within program area.
Works independently to understand topics and resolves issues independently without requiring detailed management review of work.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5-10 years related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience writing or editing newsletters, magazine articles, annual reports, website articles/stories, donor profiles, presidential acknowledgment letters, campaign brochures, funding proposals, fact sheets, presentations, or equivalent.
Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.
